Coca Cola believes that because a person is WHITE that they are:
Oppressive
Arrogant
Too certain (whatever that means – too confident?)
Defensive
Ignorant (yes, they went there)
NOT humble
Don’t listen
Don’t believe (in what, exactly?)
Apathetic
Too engaged in white solidarity
Oh, and white people are “socialized to feel that they are inherently superior because they are white.”
WHAT??!!!
Don’t believe me? Have a look for yourself.
Here is a Newsweek article that explains that it is part of an employee training program for the corporation. Coca Cola claims that it is from a outside source – but they use it. Sorry Coke, the same message still applies and you are STILL CULPAPLE.
The corporation claims to be “challenging what it means to be racist,” but this is EXACTLY what racism is! This is the ROOT of racism. It is what drives people to divide.
Why is it OK to tell people to “try to be less white” but it is wrong when you tell someone to try to be less black or less Asian or whatever?
This is NOT how you break down racial barriers. No, it only serves to create racial FORTRESSES.
This is what encourages racism.
This does NOT unite. This DIVIDES.
Any moron can see that.
But wait. Let’s take a look at the corporation’s website to see what how they portray diversity. Here’s a screenshot from their page People Values. What do you see here?
They are talking about DIVERSITY and INCLUSION but ALL the people in the accompanying photo are WHITE! Oh, wait, there is one black woman, but she is BEHIND THE WHITE GUY and you can only see half of her head! Plus, her face is blurred. So, if Coca Cola was truly trying to embrace diversity, wouldn’t the photos on their website SHOW that?
In fact, when you look at other photos on the site, especially where diversity, equality, etc. are mentioned, they do NOT show any diversity! The people are either all black, all white, one Asian guy, NO or very few photos of several races in the same shot.
Oh wait, there is one obvious stock photo of a bunch of hands of different races. Yeah, whatever.
Where are the people of different races WORKING together? Or just BEING TOGETHER?
STOP dividing people and STOP with the stupidity!
Let me make myself abundantly clear.
COCA COLA YOU WILL NOT MAKE ME ASHAMED FOR BEING WHITE.
But since you do hate white people so much and think we are ignorant, arrogant, and oppressive (and all the other derogatory TOXIC LABELS you want to put on us – Remember that post about TOXIC LABELS Coke? Can you say HYPOCRITE?) then maybe white people need to find a brand that is more inclusive of ALL races and doesn’t hate us white folks so much.
FYI, THIS is what DIVERSITY looks like.
So, if you are white and you don’t what to give your hard earned money to a corporation that thinks so poorly of white people – or if you are an intelligent, rational person of color who thinks this Coke Campaign is utterly stupid, I’m going to help you out.
